A new study by Cornwall Energy has expressed concern about making “rushed” changes to the triad benefit. Published on Monday 24 October, Embedded Benefits: Addressing Market Distortions said that arbitrarily reducing these payments would, in the short term, reduce security of supply, and that over the longer term capacity market prices and the costs of balancing the system could rise significantly.
